Is Islam simpler than Christianity?

The attraction of Islam seems to be that it is simple. But why Islam is simple? You only have to believe there is a higher power and that a prophet is proclaiming a higher power. This is indeed very simple. So simple that almost nobody has to make a sacrifice. Doesn’t everyone believe that there is a higher being? But what will be the blessing of such a very simple faith? Being sure about going to Paradise? On the other side a genuine Muslim has to work very hard to obey all the laws, fasting and other practices, without being sure to get the final benefit: for sure going to Paradise.
How different it is with Jesus Christ. A Jews who was keeping the law told Jesus:

“All these I have kept since I was a boy.” (Mark 10:20).

Jesus said:

“Jesus looked at him and loved him.” (Mark 10:21).

Therefore, Jesus loves Muslims, because like this Jews also genuine Muslims keep the law. In Islam this is enough, but will not bring you the final result: going to Paradise. However, for Jesus this not enough, Jesus is asking something different:

“Then come, follow me.” (Mark 10:21).

Jesus is asking to give your whole heart to him and then to follow the righteous Jesus, the Word of God. That’s a very, very big difference with Islam. But, because Jesus has the power to forgive your sin, you will finally get what you want: going to Paradise and to know this for sure. And that is something Islam can never promise you. Jesus said:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
