"and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant" (Qur’an 5:82).

"O ye who believe! Be ye helpers of Allah: As said Jesus the son of Mary to the Disciples, "Who will be my helpers to (the work of) Allah?" Said the disciples, "We are Allah’s helpers!" then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion disbelieved: But We gave power to those who believed, against their enemies, and they became the ones that prevailed" (Qur’an 61:14).

“Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah." So if they believe as ye believe, they are indeed on the right path; but if they turn back, it is they who are in schism; but Allah will suffice thee as against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. “ (Qur’an 2:136-137).

2. Qur’an warns some Christians

There are also warnings in the Qur’an to Christians who doubt about the practices in the Bible and who do not follow Jesus Christ:

“Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of Allah all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works: They are in the ranks of the righteous. Of the good that they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knoweth well those that do right.” (Qur’an 3:113-115).

"If only they had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course, but many of them follow a course that is evil" (Qur’an 5:66).

"But those (Christians) who have faith and work righteousness, they are companions of the Garden: Therein shall they abide (For ever) " (Qur’an 2:82).

"Those who believe, and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve" (Qur’an 2:62, 5:69).

From the Qur’an point of view a serious Christian has nothing to fear and is praised. Jesus said:

“You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me” (John 5:39).

While a Muslim is still searching and uncertain, a Christian has peace and certainty about going to Paradise.
