Qur’an 2:142 - Is Allah responsible for wrong things?

There are different answers to the question about responsibility of God in the Qur’an:

Yes, Allah is guilty for misguidance - Qur’an 2:142, 16:93, 35:8, 74:31

“The foolish among the people will say, 'What has turned them away from their qiblah, which they used to face?" Say, "To Allah belongs the east and the west. He guides whom He wills to a straight path'” (Qur’an 2:142).

No, people are responsible for wrong things - Qur’an 4:79, 30:9

“What comes to you of good is from Allah , but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself. And We have sent you, [O Muhammad], to the people as a messenger, and sufficient is Allah as Witness” (Qur’an 4:79).

On one side we can read in the Qur'an that Allah is accountable for bad events, while other Qur’an verses say that people are responsible. Therefore Qur’an 2:142, 16:93, 35:8, 74:31 are in contradiction with Qur’an 4:79, 30:9.
