Qur’an 15:27 - Jinn created from fire?

There are different answers to the question in the Qur’an:

From fire - Qur’an 15:27

“And the jinn We created before from scorching fire.” (Qur’an 15:27).

From water - Qur’an 21:30

“Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?” (Qur’an 21:30).

Muslim response

Some Muslims say that there is a diffence in Qur’an 21:30 between "exterior and interior. ’Exterior’, should refer to its words, which can be recited properly by everybody and the word ’interior’ is connected with spirit and refers to its meanings, and its underlying ideas, the understanding of which varies with the ability of the readers. However this is a rule in the exegesis, it is no answer to the textual contradiction between the mentioned Qur’an verses. The contrast is between the questions about jinn as living things and about jinn created of water or fire.

One verse is telling us that jinns were created from fire, while another verse says that they were created from water. With two different answers there is a contrast about the same question. Therefore we have a difficulty in the Qur’an. The mentioned verses show a contradiction in the Qur’an.
