Qur’an 4:158 - Did Jesus die or not?

There are different answers to the question in the Qur’an:

Jesus died – Qur’an 3:144, 23:15, 39:30

“Muhammad is but a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) have passed away before him.” (Qur’an 3:144 – Pickthall) This verse saus that all prophets before Muhammad had died. “Then indeed, after that you are to die.” (Qur’an 23:15) “Indeed, you are to die, and indeed, they are to die.” (Qur’an 39:30) Qur’an 23:15, 39:30 is telling us that everyone will die.

Jesus did not die – Qur’an 4:158

“Rather, Allah raised him to Himself.” (Qur’an 4:158) Jesus went immediately to heaven and did not die.

There is an issue about two Qur’an verses that Jesus died. According to the Qur’an, Jesus is a prophet and that he lived before Muhammad. One verse is telling us that all prophets before Muhammad died, a contrast with another Qur’an verse that Jesus went immediately to heaven and did not die. An issue in the Qur’an. A possible way out is the Christian interpretation that Jesus has both a human and an eternal nature. In that case Jesus died and went immediately to heaven as the Gospel is telling us.
