■ Qur’an 3:59 - Adam created from clay or not?
There are different answers to the question in the Qur’an: how was Adam created?
1. Adam was created from dust - Qur’an 3:59
“Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.” (Qur’an 3:59)
2. Adam was created out of wet clay - Qur’an 38:71
“[So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay.” (Qur’an 38:71)
3. Adam was created out of sounding clay and mud - Qur’an 15:26
“We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape;” (Qur’an 15:26 – Yusuf Ali)
Sounding is black burnt.
4. Adam was created with Allah’s two hands - Qur’an 38:75
“[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" (Qur’an 38:75)
5. Conclusion
The search for truth is based on the observation of facts systematically and logically in any context. We have 5 different answers to the question how Adam was created. This can be called a contradiction in the Qur’an.
