■ Dialogues with Muslims – Abdul (Part 1)
Below is a request of a Muslims for a debate. He wanted to promote Islam to others. Luc made the reply to the Muslim. To protect the identity of both persons, their names have been replaced by an alias.
1.
Adbul: Dear (employee) Ibn Zura, I have viewed your site with respect to the Christian-Muslim dialogue and while reading I noticed that I'd like to join in order to justify them to the Christian interpretation of his message. Islamic interpretation of the message of Jesus in conversation with you. Are you still open to a further deepening of the dialogue? If so, I would ask you to send so that we can make each other better. Already know a Comment. I can understand you, so you say that Christians are guaranteed to arrive in paradise because Christianity rejects the law? gr, Abdul
2.
Luc:
Thank you that have shown interest for our dialogue with Muslims. We we do only what the Living God asks of us and so we are not on our own respect, not on our own honor, not for honor of people. Therefore for you the following question, are you as a Muslim sure you will escape hell?
For this kind of question, no doubt you are going to read the Qur'an as a Muslim. As you know, the Qur'an was originally written in Arabic and therefore it is good to read the Qur'an in Arabic and not in a translation because the translators later added other words to the Qur'an. If you read the Qur'an, you will find that no assurance can be given about escape from hell:
Those whom they call upon do desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord, - even those who are nearest: they hope for His Mercy and fear His Wrath: for the Wrath of thy Lord is something to take heed of. (Surah 17:57)
The Qur’an says that Allah alone decides and as a human being you can not know that you are saved:
Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit. And what will explain to thee what this is? (It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely! (Surah 101:6-11)
So as a Muslim you can not know for sure which side you belong to. But Allah can do both good and evil:
Knowest thou not that to Allah (alone) belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth? He punisheth whom He pleaseth, and He forgiveth whom He pleaseth: and Allah hath power over all things. (Surah 5:40)
As a Muslim you will not know for sure in paradise with Allah the Qur’an, no certainty can you give to go to Paradise. Allah the first humans, Adam and Eve, warned that the devil is their enemy:
Then We said: "O Adam! verily, this is an enemy to thee and thy wife: so let him not get you both out of the Garden, so that thou art landed in misery. (Surah 20:117)
Yet Adam and Eve listened to the devil . That was the man’s first sin (Surah 7:20-25, 20:120-121). The moment of pain, suffering and death in our world came. The Qur’an is full of warnings those who disobey the commandments of God, and that the result is punishment. The Qur’an warns that the man who does these things will not live: "To all of them We destroyed in their sins." (Qur’an 29:40). According to the Qur’an, the future looks hopeless for naughty and sinful people:
O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and enjoy (its good things) as ye wish: but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression. (Surah 7:19)
Can you deny that you've ever made sim? One single sin and we're not perfect and have to admit, that if we are honest, that we have sin like Adam and Eve. The Qur’an says that there is no immediate forgiveness. Adam and Eve could not go back back to Paradise. But what about this with Christians? Can they escape the hell fire? The Qur’an says very clearly that Christians, who believe in the Bible and are followers of Jesus Christ are going to Paradise:
However, those (Christians) believes and does good, is eternally in the Paradise. (Surah 2:82)
Indeed, the believers, Jews, Christians, and Sabians—whoever truly believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good will have their reward with their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve. (Surah 2:62, 5:69)
So according to the Qur’an, a true Christian has nothing to fear from the hellfire, and he is praised. Then you may wonder how Christians achieve this . It is therefore important to read the Scriptures, the Bible. As a Muslim you should follow to the guidelines of the previous Scriptures (Surah 6:89-90). God's Word can not be changed (Surah 6:34, 6:114-115, 10:64 and 18:27). Therefore, Muslims should believe the Holy Scriptures:
Do not argue with the People of the Book unless gracefully, except with those of them who act wrongfully. And say, “We believe in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to you. Our God and your God is only One. And to Him we fully submit.” (Surah 29:46)
O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His messenger and the Scripture which He hath revealed unto His messenger, and the Scripture which He revealed aforetime. Whoso disbelieveth in Allah and His angels and His scriptures and His messengers and the Last Day, he verily hath wandered far astray. (Surah 4:136)
But how can you say you believe when you haven't read the Scriptures? Visit Biblegateway.com for more knowledge. There is a major difference between the Quran and the Bible. In the Bible, it is a person: Jesus Christ:
You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. (John 5:39)
While a Muslim has uncertainty, has a Christian peace and security in his heart about going to Paradise. the difference between Christians and Muslims, Muslims do their best to obey the laws of Allah, but remain uncertain about salvation. A Christian is sure to go to Paradise. When a born again Christian will ask: "What must I do to be saved be, "he will say: While a Muslim has uncertainty, a Christian has peace and certainty in his heart about going to Paradise. The difference between Christians and Muslims is that Muslims try to do their best to obey the laws of Allah, but remain uncertain about salvation. A Christian will definitely go to Paradise. When a born-again Christian asks, "What must I do to be saved," he will say:
So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16:31)
It is necessary for you as a Muslim to understand that you can be saved by the love and grace of God. Islam has no savior. As a believer in the mighty Savior Jesus Christ, you will always be sure to go to Paradise. The only salvation is through Jesus Christ, the Word of God (John 1:1-14). Through the sacrifice of the righteous Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, a believer is assured of entering Paradise:
Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29)
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Revelation 12:11)
There are more verses in Scripture that confirm that the believer in the glorious Jesus Christ goes to Paradise:
I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. (John 11:25)
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:2-6)
If you have accepted Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, you will be grateful to Him for what He has done for you. You will want to know Jesus Christ better in order to follow Him.
This message, the Good News, dear Abdul, I would like to share with you. The Creator of heaven and earth has given you free will. What are you going to do with this? You decide to accept the Good News.
That God may bless, Luc

Abdul:
Which verses in the Qur’an show that keeping the law gives the Muslim certainty of Paradise?
That God may bless you.
4.
Luc:
The point is that the law does not give certainty of Paradise. That was made clear by the sentence: “If you have accepted Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, you will be grateful to Him for what He has done for you. You will want to know Jesus Christ better in order to follow Him.” The New Testament is clear about this:
Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law. (Romans 3:31)
See also 1 Corinthians 7:19, 9:20-21, Acts 24:13-14 and Romans 7:12. In the Qur’an, Jesus Christ is righteous and without sin (Surah 19:19). Jesus Christ is the greatest miracle worker in the Qur’an. So Jesus Christ made it clear what the will of God is. Try to follow that too. Because only when someone has repented in Jesus Christ, is he able to do the will of God with the Holy Spirit. He will be able to do more than in case he just try to obey the law of Moses.
5.
Abdul:
I'm just trying to follow. So, because Jesus was without sin, and, because the Qur’an confirmed the conclusion, you think I should accept it because Jesus died for the sins of man?
3 questions: 1. Do you know that we Muslims believe that all prophets are without sin? 2. Where does the Qur’an say that Jesus died for the sins of man? 3. Where does Jesus say in the Bible that he will die for the sins of man, so we only have to follow him to find something in Paradise?
These are the things I am wondering now. May God bless you
6.
Luc:
There is no assurance that keeping the law gives you assurance of Paradise. There is no verse in the Qur’an about assurance of Paradise, then through Jesus Christ. The Bible makes it clear that:
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God ( Romans 3:23)
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
Therefore, it is necessary to rely on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ the forgiveness of your sins and begin a new life through Jesus. Follow as stated in the Gospel Christ. You can start with the Reading of the Gospel of John.
Here are the answers to your questions:
> 1. Do you know that we Muslims believe that all prophets are without sin?
According to most Muslims is not about what is the opinion of Muslims, but what the Qur’an says Adam sinned (Surah 7:20-25, 20:120-121), Noah sinned (Surah 11:47), Abraham sinned (Surah 6:74-82, 21:51 and 26:82), Moses sinned (Surah 28:15-16), David sinned (Surah 38:25) and Muhammad sinned (Surah 33:37 and 47:19).
> 2. Where does the Qur’an say that Jesus died for the sins of man?
Nowhere . You can read this only in the Bible. Therefore, you should read the Bible to be saved.
> 3. Where does Jesus say in the Bible that he will die for the sins of man, so we only have to follow him to find something in Paradise?
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
"For God so loved the world" does not mean that God approved the conduct of men, but that he may have feelings of love against. God hates sin but loves the sinner. "He gave": God sacrificed his "only son" who died, the Son of God. "only begotten Son": the only perfect man who was always with God. Not a biological son, but a symbolic relationship. As a Muslim you have to do good works and efforts, without ever having certainty of Paradise. But the problem is sin, and because God is just, he can not just overlook sin. He must judge sin. Man is a sinner, and he can not get rid of his sins themselves. Because of sin, you have to suffer, feel pain and die. But Jesus Christ came to die instead of man.
saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.” (Luke 9:22)
"The Son " is Jesus Christ. "will have to suffer many things" and "killed" means the prophecy of Jesus that he died on the cross.
For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matthew 26:28)
The covenant made with the Jews was made by the sprinkling of the blood of the sacrifice:
And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, “This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you according to all these words.”
This means that the "old" covenant of the people of Israel is replaced by the New Testament. The proof is that the glorious Jesus Christ rose from the dead, as the Savior of the world.
That God may bless
