Qur’an 4:172 - Jesus a servant of Allah or not?

There are different answers to the question in the Qur’an:

1. Jesus was a servant of Allah - Qur’an 4:172
“Never would the Messiah disdain to be a servant of Allah” (Qur’an 4:172)
Although Jesus is the Messiah, he was only a servant of Allah.

2. Jesus wasn’t a servant of Allah - Qur’an 3:45, 5:110
“Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah” (Qur’an 3:45 – Yusuf Ali)
“I strengthened thee with the holy Spirit” (Qur’an 5:110 – Pickthall)
Jesus is the Word of God and God’s Spirit. Therefore he cannot be a servant of Allah.

3. Conclusion
There is a contradiction in the Qur’an about the position of Jesus. One verse is telling us that he was just a servant of Allah, while according to other verses there is a higher position of Jesus Christ, because he is the Word of God and the Spirit of God in the flesh. A reason to follow Jesus Christ.
