Is Jesus without sin in the Bible?

A Muslim knows that Jesus did not sin, because the Qur’an says that Jesus was faultless in Qur’an 19:19: “He said: I am only a messenger of thy Lord, that I may bestow on thee a faultless son”. Faultless means without sin. Does the Bible mentions that Jesus is without sin?

1. Jesus passed all tests against sin

In the temptation in the desert by the devil, Jesus defeated his opponent: “Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him” (Matthew 4:11). The tempter of all mankind, Satan, gave up to Jesus the Messiah. “And angels came and attended him” means that the angels who were kept back by the presence of the evil one, and by Jesus to fight alone, now came up to him and ministered to him. Like a champion who has to use all his skills to defeat his enemy, Jesus was willing to die to be the perfect example of mankind, free from any sin: “Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last” (Luke 23:46). This commending his spirit to his Father means his entrance to heaven [1]. Therefore all experiments to test Jesus Christ to do any sin has been completed with the result that he did not commit any sin according to the Bible.

2. People observed that Jesus is without sin

“While Pilate was sitting on the judge"s seat, his wife sent him this message: "Don"t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him"” (Matthew 27:19).

“We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong” (Luke 23:41).

“The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, "Surely this was a righteous man"” (Luke 23:47).

“Who committed no sin, nor was guile found in his mouth” (1 Peter 2:22).

“And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins, and in him there is no sin” (1 John 3:5).

“For he made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15).

3. Conclusion

The Bible confirms Qur’an 19:19 that Jesus the Messiah is without sin. There are descriptions of tests against sin in the Gospel that Jesus has passed with success and there are many people who gave a convincing report that Jesus the Messiah is without sin in many Bible verses.
